​​PARA ISIDRO was born in Manila, Philippines, and is one of the country's most sought after and successful dance artists and choreographers.   Para moved to Perth in 2008.  She is the Director of PARADANCE based in Perth, Western Australia, the mission of which is to provide high-quality training in dance and movement to anyone and everyone who wish to pursue a career in performance on stage, in film and prepare them for a life as a professional entertainer.

Para performs and teaches all styles of dance from ballet to hip-hop, contemporary, Latin, jazz, Broadway, musical theatre and showdance.  She has danced as principal dancer for the Philippines' premiere jazz/contemporary dance company, Douglas Nierras' Powerdance. She has choreographed and performed with world class and premiere artists from Asia, Broadway and London's West End.   Her works as a performer, dance teacher. movement coach and choreographer include "Miss Saigon", "Rent", "Once on this Island", "Chess", "Fantasticks" and MTV.  Her most recent works are for  Platinum Entertainment's musical productions Cats, We Will Rock You and The Boy From Oz. and Priscilla Queen Of The Desert . Para is feeling honoured and excited to be the choreographer and movement director of an original musical the HOLLOW CAUSE , written and to be directed by Keshet.

 

Para was also the dance and movement director  at the Film and Television Institute in Perth for its Screen Acting Program.   In 2010, she was the featured artist in a concert entitled "Valentine in November" held in New York.   She was guest teacher in musical theater dance at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, and also at the 3 Arts Music Institute.  Para was lecturer in movement and dance to the students of contemporary music department at the prestigious WA Academy of Performing Arts in Perth.

Para is a highly regarded teacher at various studios around Perth, and a much admired performer whenever she appears on stage.

Para produces her yearly dance concert "ENCORE" for her dance students and special guests and friends. Watch out for our next production in June 2021.

Para is the proud mother to Perth's young dancer/choreographer Una Genuino of the National Champion dance crew  called The Society.  Para is also a certified Lagree Fitness addict and Megaformer trainer, a personal trainer and pilates instructor. Para's new favourite class to teach is Club Fiesta, a dance-based cardio exercise program that includes so many styles that is fun to do and does not require long years of dance experience at all!
